Mer have a natural draw to the sea which is their world around them. Most every mer can draw some sort of connection with water and the sea animals in it, which to them is a part of the mer and is alive as much as the fish themselves. “Water is life” A saying often spoken among the mer and taught to young spawn. Because of a mer’s natural affinity with the sea many mer go on to become mages and healers. Merfolk are the true masters of their element and know best how to use it. Other races will be hard pressed to overcome a mer in their own domain. Mer are talented in dominating others through song as well as the mind.
